This was a huge mistake, I received an scholarship and the university is trying to hold my refund. Horrible customer service, horrible advisors ,I’ve had 5 different advisors. I’m seeking legal assistance now. I would not recommend attending this school they will attempt to steal make sure to go over your financial details. Not trustworthy.

My recent experience at National University has been nothing short of frustrating and disheartening. Despite my earnest efforts to rectify a transcript error, I have been met with continual setbacks and unresponsiveness from the administrative staff.

Initially dropped from my classes due to a transcript error on my part, I promptly took action to ensure the correct documents reached the appropriate channels. However, the process has been marred by a lack of communication and accountability from the university's advisors.

Each time I reach out to my assigned advisor for assistance, I am met with vague responses such as "call back later" or "someone will be in touch." Unfortunately, these assurances have proven to be empty, as subsequent attempts to seek guidance only lead me to speak with "the next available advisor," who offers little more help than my ACTUAL advisor!

As the weeks pass, the urgency of my situation grows, particularly as I aim to enroll in classes to avoid further delays in my academic progress and graduation timeline. Despite expressing my concerns, I am consistently reassured that I will be contacted to schedule classes, yet this promise remains unfulfilled.

The lack of support and inefficiency displayed by National University's administrative staff have left me feeling neglected and disillusioned. Instead of facilitating my academic journey, the university's handling of this matter has only served to exacerbate my frustration and hinder my progress.

My experience at National University has been marked by incompetence and disregard for student welfare. It is my hope that the university addresses these systemic issues to prevent others from enduring similar challenges in the future.

I like that classes are 4 weeks. I have learned you can enroll in yourself instead of waiting for advisor after being enrolled by one.
If you have issues in your class. You can talk to the Director of the degree.

Classes are challenging I have great instructors.
Agree with others advisors do not always get back to you.
They should use the blackboard for attendance not every class you need to post online.

If it was possible to give 0 stars I would. Advisors never answer, never call back, never email back. Professors are impossible to reason with. My main draw to this school was being able to do one class a month to get my degree. Been trying to get a class for 3 months. My original advisor quit and I have no guidance or help whatsoever. Had an issue with transcripts. There is 1 military advisor who was somewhat helpful but hard to continue the process when I never get emails/ calls back. Will be transferring schools immediately.

I was initially very interested in transferring to Nat’l U so I applied and got the process started. The rep called me within a couple of days but after that it was really hard to get ahold of her. Then sent a few emails to her and other staff members regarding questions I had about the program and they ALL ignored my emails. Seems like one of those Universities that see students as money signs and will definitely not be attending here. Luckily SDSU had a similar (and much better) program for my needs.

I regret attending NU for professional study. Despite being promised a total program cost of $23k, I now face a $36k balance post-graduation. While told my repayment would begin in 6 months, a $600 interest charge appeared before the scheduled start date. Although the system indicates a January 27th repayment, the FE service cites a pause due to Biden's release of payments. It's a frustrating situation, and I recommend discussing these issues with NU's financial aid office, keeping records of all communications, and seeking guidance from financial counselors or relevant authorities.

I couldn't even make it through the enrollment/orientation phase. I cancelled my enrollment to this school due to horrible customer service and a lack of communication. I didn't need my hand held through a process but I would like a phone call or e-mail answered within a weeks time. If this is how the admissions office is, I can't imagine what the rest of the school is. My counselor was changed after a week of working with her, which would have been fine but no one told me of the change. After 2 weeks of no responses I called to see what else was required on my side. The admissions office informed me that my admissions rep had transferred but a new one would call me with an update. 4 business days later no call. I finally got ahold of her and everything was set up and orientation was scheduled within 2 weeks. The date of orientation, she didn't call, text, or e-mail me. I called my new admissions rep and it went straight to voicemail. I sent an e-mail and two weeks later a get an e-mail requested I reschedule my orientation. She never explained why the date was changed or why no one was made available for my orientation. I get it if you are sick and have to reschedule but no one told me my orientation was canceled. When the orientation appointment was missed and since I had no response from the school about my orientation or status of enrollment I asked my VR&E Representative if she knew of any other schools I could attend with a better track record than National University. She recommended another school and it only took 2 weeks to get enrolled and my classes are already scheduled. Find another school to go to unless you have the extra time to sit and wait for this school to get back to you.

Despite claiming it's a military friendly school, National expects you to work like a full time student. Professors always say "we always have military students so your situation isn't excusable". For 4 weeks, (depending on what class-- mainly the writing classes) the professors I've had were awful. I'm full time active duty with a sporadic schedule, and I know I'm not the only one because that's the military in a nutshell. But that doesn't excuse you from having to still do loads of work in 4 weeks. It's just not worth it.
I'm currently trying to disenroll because I've been taking classes since November '22, and now it's may '23 and I haven't received any financial aid other than my Pell Grant and no one knows how to answer email or their phone when a student is in need.
Do not enroll here, there are so many better options.
